To be honest with you Brian, I can't really think what you could buy that would be better than your Alpina. Swap you for a 2.2 Z3

I've seen your quarter mile times so on that basis I'll take it off your hands at no cost, just make sure the tank is full, freshly serviced and new tyres and I'll collect next weekend. What your nearest train station?

Think there must be something in the air. We are contemplating too but i do believe the next car will be an E89 kim is quite adamant. But we are toying with other options such as 335 or a 135 either way it will be a convertible.

I heard good things about the e90 Alpina's.

You looking for more space/comfort or going then other way for something more hard core?

Well I'm gonna brake the mold! I'm not selling mine ever! I may get a 4 at some point but I will not sell my 3. I love it. I want it to become old!

Strange we almost bought another z3.There not making them any more and I can't find a car I'd rather drive.the loss we could take on an upgrade would finance a lot of z3 miles

Hello BMBabe, yes always been nice to have something a little different at the shows, it was the only one at the Pod this year.
and I have a free re-map waiting for it now with Thorney motors!
"But" I'm due something that's a bit higher off the floor i'm thinking.

Yeh a four seater with more comfort sounding ok to me!
I think you'll have to look at another Alpina then. There is something about the way they do the suspension that makes them ride better than anything BMW does (and with big wheel at the same time).
I've never heard anyone say they wish they bought an M sport model over the equivalent Alpina model but heard vice versa.

Your car is very desirable and rare (I've seen the grey ones but never black). You could probably do a good deal with a dealer who handles Alpinas as a part ex but I'm sure you'd have no issue selling it privately. Replacing it with something that has the specialness an Alpina does will be the hard bit..

As a side note I wouldn't mind a 650i convertible at some point. Needs some personalization to make it feel less business like (a bit of cosmetics and a better breathing exhaust) but what a lovely sound and comfort. Suits an auto transmission too. Special looking thing and would look great as an Alpina (don't think they ever did one though).
