Very, very nice.

Sapphire blue?

Love the wheels.

It's a wide bodied one but not a turbo?

Which model is it?

Some questions answered:

Porsche 911 Carrera 4S
Isle of Sky I believe

The good news is - its no quicker than my Z - as he is not a quick driver.

However, I may join him doing a Porsche track day -

I'm doing a Porsche experience day at Silverstone on Tuesday, I might try one, I do like the wide body.

I'm penciled in to try a new 718 cayman S but may be able to change.

I'm waiting to see if they are going to release a 718 GTS with the 6 cylinder engine.

The porsche experience day went well, got to have a go in a rather nice beetle.

Quite a selection to choose from, we had a go in the grey 911 GTS PDK with 450bhp on tap and 4wd.

The instructors make you do things you'd never do in your own car, they say the car's built to do it.

Here's a pic of me spinning around, locked in 1st gear, maximum revs, PSM switched off.

My missus did her first ever sprint, with an emergency stop at the end.

I thought the instructor would get her crying, but she got out the car with a big smile.

So about the beetle, cost around £113,000 and of course very, very nice. Plenty of leather inside, lots of driver gadgets, and generally a very impressive motor. I'd say it was a little quicker than my TT even though paper figures suggest otherwise. I think Porsche might be quite conservative with their figures.

All in all a great day with a nice lunch included also.

They had some impressive stuff on display also.

And watching the Macan GTS chasing the Boxster round the circuit was interesting.

For a two tonne motor they certainly do go well round the bends.

PEC day is a good day great driving a nice lunch I have done it 2 or 3 times.
The 718 GTS will be 4 cylinder most likely just more bhp the 718 is fast really fast but doesn't sound as good as the flat 6.The next GT4 or Spyder might be a 6 pot.
For a small track it suits the Boxster or Cayman better .
Great pics it's really worth going to get the feel of the cars.
