Not a chance of that happening, all your christmas food, mince pies, puddings, cake etc manufacturing starts in February for next xhristmas.
Easter eggs generally start Spring summer time
If you're not bothered just ignore them until the time comes when you decide to purchase.
The main reason for it, in simple terms is SPACE.
Back in the past I worked in retail management, supemarkets - from their perspective it makes perfect sense and not much to do with sales. After all they know not many foks have much free money after the christmas spurlge. They just dont have any capacity to store them. no super stoire has much warehouse capacity, the goods are mainly stoeed on the shop floor, where potential sales can be made.
As you may have noticed they all have sesonal aisles for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Spring and summer goods etc. So when the christmas stock is gone, its an empty space - as they have Easter eggs filling all availablt storager areas the best place is to fill that aisle.
You'll notice when theres nothing special happening they fill it with either non foiod bulky goods toiulet rolls, household cleaning , toiletries etc. thinkgs that can be boxed up and wont go out of date.
The supermarkets get deliveries of the eggs again to create space - when I worked in them we got a 10% discount if we took them before christmas
so then having them sat around was out. Helps the manufactures balance sheets.
The manufacturers produce these goods alongside their regular lines, as they cabr afford to stop there other products and to produce enough for the whole country takes time. They only have limited storage space. There comes a time when they need to shift some out or pay for extra storage.as they wouldnt need that space continually. Makes no sense when you can shift that task to the customer ( empty aisle anyone ) Logisticalkly they couldnt deliver all the stock needed in the country in a short time either.
I had all this explained to me when I raised the question many years ago, and totally get ti
Curently working in food manufacturing btw. seeing it from the otherside
Sorry for the long explanation, but like most things usually a sensible reasoning behind the scenss - also some folks will purchase them early at full price while many savvy folks wait for discounts and sales later on, which the supermarkets realise.
