Well I managed to find a Z close to me , I did originally go to see a silver 1.9 he had for sale but then spotted this in his garage (he had 3 Z3’s)
So I have opted for
2.0 6cyl
117000 with full history
Electric roof
Heated seats
And it drives nice and smooth... a bit gutted that it’s another black one just like the 2.8 I used to have ... the main thing is I am back in a Z3

We need to keep in touch. Got my second one (sold the first one 7 years ago). Picked up a 2000 titanium silver with 117K a couple of weeks ago. After having it a week, realized it will need a cooling system overhaul but overall she is in good shape! Welcome back. Know the feelings you are experiencing. For me, it seems like I came home!

Hi yes I made the mistake of selling my first one , this just had a new thermostat fitted last week but with every second hand car there will be faults

Why'd you sell your first one? Genuinely curious

That black looks beautiful!

The 2.0l is under rated IMO, I used to hang on to 2.2s in mine but you have to drive them bloody hard, one thing you will notice is the lack of torque against the 2.8

I never bought the 2.0 for speed , like I say I have had the 2.8 and just sold my motorbike that had 160bhp that was dammmm fast.. no just bought this as I issued the Z and just pleased I have managed to find one I like and so close to home too

What I have noticed is
1.. it has a full set of unmarked wheels with brand new winter tyres ( I now need a set with summers on)
2.. o/s headlight bulb is bright white and the n/s is more yellow

Looking at the picture in your Avatar I would have guessed the other way around re the headlights mate. Probably just odd bulbs. Osram Nightbreakers are a good item.

Oh and I am after some lowering springs if any kicking about.
I think one of the Scottish members was selling a set mate.

Tony.
