Andy @spurs fan in a coupe delivered me a humpless boot carpet up to Worksop last Saturday despite being delayed by the aftermath of those awful crashes on the motorways. He met Shirl for her to collect the carpets from him to save me the p&p. An absolute gentleman. So here's to you Andy, Cheers mate.:beer:beer:beer.
Anyway, I got them fitted this afternoon and I am well pleased.

Big improvement in my view, lots more usable space.:)

Awesome mate, glad your happy with the parts, was indeed a bloody nightmare of a journey! About 10 hours from Woking to Newcastle! Shirley's recommendation of fish & chips was a great shout!

Cheers

Slightly off topic, but your car Is almost identical to mine, other than mine is a manual rather than an automatic.

Are those LEDs that you have on the underside of your boot lid?

Do you have a stock exhaust as your tail pipes seem to stick further out than mine

Lastly, I was interested to see that the underside of your boot is a matt black and not painted the body colour. Mine is also like that but I'd just assumed that mine must have had a replacement boot lid at some time and the body shop (trying to save a few pennies) hadn't bothered to paint the underside of the boot. Now I'm wondering if they are all like that....

Now, where did I put my anorak?

Later Z3's were primed in black rather than body colour. The individuals still retained the body colour all over. My 2001 is Schwarz underneath, but Topaz on top.

Hi, yes the red LED's came about after testing a Volvo Estate a few weeks ago and I found that when you raised the tailgate, the side lights were turned on. Which I thought was, safety wise, a good idea. These are wired into the boot light circuit and being led not a drain on the system. Your thoughts?
I am going to post a thread re the fitting when I get a few minutes.
Re. The exhaust I fitted some new chrome tail pipes last year as the original black ones were a bit tatty and I have a liking for chrome, you may have noticed!:)

Tony.

ps. I also fitted a strip of 5 White LED's on either side of the boot under the side edges to give a little more light in the boot at night.

Hi Ken, it looks as though for some reason your n/s piece of carpet has had a chunk cut out of it. If you car has a power operated hood the one I've removed would fit your car.

Ah you replace the n/s bit as well, mine looked just like your first picture when you had the hump.
No chunk has been cut from as far as I can tell maybe I need to get a new n/s like you.
