Hello everyone,

Does anyone happen to have a link to a diagram for the HVAC duct system in the Z3? I believe I have dead mice somewhere in there and need to try to clean them out but want to see what I’m getting myself into.

Thank you,
Bob

Thank you, I tried looking at RealOEM first and for some reason couldn't find this page so I appreciate the direct link. I'm going to try digging into this project this weekend. I also found a simple YouTube video in blower motor replacement that gave a good visual of where I think the mice may have nested.

A smelly ventilation system is usually a sign of bacterial growth inside - it is something related to Legionairres Disease. Most car parts places sell the necessary disinfectant in aerosol cans - I use the VW type, from German & Swedish outlets.

Thank you, this smell is the unmistakable scent of death and I need to get the nest and/or carcasses out. Should be a fun day!

I once found a mouse home on top of the inlet manifold after the winter! I had to applaud the mother mouse, for climbing up the inside of a front tyre holding a leaf in her mouth until her nest was complete. I transferred her nest and babies to a small box, and provided a ramp to let her it - an hour later they had all been removed. I have also had a metre-long snake wrapped around a front wheel - but he obviously got off when I started moving!
