Whilst searching info regarding removing the hump, I found an old thread on the forum that had some pictures of what was involved. The thread stated that BMW no longer do the LHS trim panel for cars with a power hood, but without the CD changer hump. I assumed that to be the case and took the quoted part numbers to my local dealer. The parts adviser asked for the registration number, did a bit of button pressing and then said "Your car's got a power roof, this is the wrong part number, it won't fit properly. You need a different part." Just goes to show the value of a good parts man on older vehicles....

Anyway, to cut a long story short, if you're removing the hump from a car with a power roof then both trims are still available from BMW, although one had to come from Germany. The part numbers are:-

Bulkhead trim panel; B51.47.8.399.497
LHS trim panel; B51.47.8.401.855

Total cost for the two parts was £136.33 inc VAT

Hope this is of use to someone.

Why would Spurs need to help?
The chap has already purchased them, he is just posting up part numbers and price.

I have just removed my CD changer, so a great thread (along with the removal instruction one. Just wish I had seen it before I pulled the trim panel down and fused the rear light!) and parts now ordered from the local BMW dealer. 👍
