How to find the options specified with your Z Roadster

This works for both Z3 and Z4 models (and pretty much any UK BMW too!) and all you need is the last 7 digits of your VIN number.

Updated as the original site seems to have disappeared, the current 2 alternatives that do work are:

Make sure you don't have pop-ups blocked for the BMW site - otherwise it doesn't work!

Hi thanks for this, knew my car was June 2000 from under the bonnet. From this I now know she was "born" on the 22nd of June 2000. Will have to make sure she gets a 12th birthday treat

Just looked - when you click on 'Options' in Step 7 you need to click on the + symbol next to where it says 'Vehicle Information'. This drops down a panel with extra information on it.

My Z4 was born on the 31st of March 2004

Jacksters was born on my 28th birthday

Mora was born on 19th April in the year 2000. :martini Obviously a vintage year

We didn't understand one or two of the specs, firstly the power output was 110?? was that elephants? :-?
secondly what the heck does HECK mean???
At lastly, the engine is listed as an M52, which we already knew, but had TU afterwards, what does that stand for? :-\

Heck is stern so I would say rear wheel drive
