Love the £650 of just random extra stuff that BMW charge for the privilege of buying a car from them!

Wow that car was silly expensive :nailbiting:

You just wouldn't would you! £23k. Get a year old 6 cylinder for that back then I bet.

Doctor Jeckyll in a coupe, has a nice ring to it does that! =))=)) Seriously though it's nice to see some prices from way back when, only down side is you see how low values go.

Tony.

Errr my guess is 1999 ;)
Lovely!
I see an original Proforma Invoice for the first time!
We should preserve it , somewhere on the site...maybe @GazHyde knows where to archive it...

Was an interesting read through loads of paper, from finance deals, trade ins and sale prices from various buyers/sellers over the years.

And the crazy prices BMW charge for servicing!

Beside death and taxes, the above is a third certitude in our life!

I do see that from time to time mate and not just BMW dealers but to a slightly lesser degree any main dealer. Prices make me cringe.

On the topic of inflation, when I purchased my 63 Mercedes 220sb from its original owner we were discussing that very thing and he said there was no such thing. I asked how he came to that conclusion. His answer was, when I bought this car and picked it up at the factory the cost was one years wages. When I bought my brand new Cadillac this year it cost me one years wages!! Puts that into perspective in a real world way! JIM
