How many miles?

Hi rough how many miles do people get from their 2.8 z3’s on half a tank?
Can’t work out if I’ve a faulty fuel gauge or fuel issue and the cars been off the road for a year so can’t remember what I used to get….

From what I remember the fuel gauge in mine was all over the place. Almost 2/3rds of the tank were empty and it was still showing north of half. And after half it went woosh to the red.
Maybe this is your issue?

I think it is a common thing on the Z3 that when the guage reads 1/2 it actually has about 1/3 of a tank and then the needle goes down very quickly.

That's exactly what my 2.0 Z3 did. Around the same time I had a VW Touareg 2.5 5 Cyl. diesel and there was nothing to choose between them on fuel economy.

Could be, just got a little nervous today on my first drive after sometimes. got to quarter of a tank did about 15 miles and was almost empty! Put in half a tank, then the needle seemed to keep rising.

I’ve changed so many parts just a panicking another problem had cropped up!
