I expect it's been covered elsewhere, but I've just come across the website Www.howmanyleft.co.uk
It is a database of vehicles registered in the UK over the years, by make and model.
For example, I was interested to see how many other 1998 Z3 roadsters like mine there are, and the answer is 19, with another 4 on SORN.



As can be seen, for comparison, there are 619 Z3 roadsters manufactured in 2001.

The site offers various other models, using the DVLA's nomenclature for models - there's a list.

Apologies if this is well covered in another thread, but I couldn't find it!

This site relies on the way the information is imputed onto the data base. The information isn't very accurate

Indeed. It says its based on what is recorded on V5s, which are notoriously inaccurate when it comes to specific model names. And of course, the information comes from a government body .......

And if you add up all the Z3 models listed on the site, it comes to around 10,000 registered at the moment. So it's all down to the model description, most of which are just down as 'Z3'.
