Just out of curiousity, are these the clips that hold the inner door panel to the metal door?..........Frankie
No, those are a bit bigger from memory. These are the tiny clips that fix the sill covers to the top of the sill.

Fortunately Ebay has ruled that a pair is in fact two, not one, and they say I should be entitled to a full refund.

BMMiniParts have suggested that I go elsewhere to buy my parts - as if I would buy from them again!

If the seller ordered a pair of shoes for £25 but only received one shoe I think he would be as upset as you are.

Good point well made. It's all boils down to custom and practice.
And a pair of scissors is only one scissor.

Yes, I would love to be able to do that but I don't think there's one near me. With most of the panels off the car and not wanting to re-use rusty bolts etc. I find I'm needing quite a lot of these small parts. I just walk indoors, look it up on RealOEM and copy and paste the part number straight into Ebay and they usually drop through the letter box before I need them.

I brought those clips for my sill covers as its what the real oem said but it turns out they are for the bits that hold the door surround rubbers down but needed them anyways as it tuned out the ones in the post above are for the sill covers and they snap just for fun ;)

These are not of course the same part as originally discussed.

BM Mini Parts are not the brightest. They took my last order then told me they didn't actually have some of the parts. Then ignored my response.

They are rarely the cheapest either. Especially taking postage into account.

I downloaded their entire Z3 catalogue recently and analysed it. There were about 6 commonly used parts worth buying from them. And in fairness they were cheap. The rest is better getting from a dealer.

They are also a spent force. They have the stock they have and that's it. BMW no longer sell to non BMW dealers.

The best place for small parts like this is frequently the BMW dealer. Not always. But they can be surprisingly competitive v 3rd party copies. And there is definitely good and bad copies out there.

My error there - the original link is not for the sill cover clips, but had the identical wording for the sill cover clips that I bought. I have plenty of the ..............492 clip if anyone needs any.

I agree they are not as good as they used to be, the ruling above ruined their business model. I did a lot of business with them a number of years back and they would not be beaten on price often 30-40% cheaper them BMW parts department albeit the parts that arrived at your door were from dealers all around the country.
