It's a nightmare. Does the seat lift up? If it does you can lift it right up, remove the motor for forward and back and use a drill to wind the mechanism forward bit by bit on each rail

Could try and plug a switch from your other seat into it and it might move?
You could possibly try and remove the seat from the base too but I cant remember how to do that so dont know if it's possible in the car

You can't take a disc cutter to it unless you're prepared to cut your floor pan out with it, including the carpet and probably cause a lot of spark damage to the interior. Even then all you'll really do is make the problem more accessible with it out of the car.

The seat has to be moved fore/aft to access all 4 fixings. Your best shot is to try and hot-wire the fore/aft motor at the connecting plug. If you can also hot-wire the up/down motor to get it all the way up so much the better.

If the motor(s) are knackered you will need to detach the motor driveshafts and wind by hand. Remembering you need to do each side in turn a little at a time. Otherwise you will skew the seat on the runners and compound your issues.

There are two options, if the motors work and the seat is not stuck you can stick two wires from a portable booster pack direct to the motor and move it back and forth, if the rails are stuck I am afraid you have to get creative , if you can squeeze the hand between the seat and the firewall then you can remove the actual seat from the frame and then that gives you much better access to everything. You can also remove the motors and stick the shafts into a power drill and move the rails each side bit by bit that way but if they are real stuck that might not work.

Bit of an update managed to get the seat up by running power to it from the battery, the front motor though is useless, the shafts going from the motor to the rails arent there plus where they attach to the rails has snapped off i tried to remove the seat by undoing the nuts which appear to attach it the the rails correct me if im wrong.
And the one is just spinning seems the bolt as come loose in the rail. All i have to work with is 1 little rod that goes inside the seat rail. I managed to spin it a couple of time on the drill but then the socket i had on the end of it just started spinning. Going to take it to work and see if one of the fitters has anything that they can attach to it.

Also how do i remove the seat from the base would make access a lot easier, the seat is pinned right back

Have a look at your replacement seat base from underneath around the back of the rails it will have two bolts, remove them in situ and slide the seat forward towards the front of the car then you can remove the cables etc.

Is that something you've tried before in-situ? If so great but I find it awkward enough lifting the base off the hooks and disconnecting everything with the seat out of the car :( I don't disagree this might be the best/only option in the circumstances.

Done that procedure twice, absolute pain in the ass but doable, really confined space so it takes ages but definitely possible with a bit of patience and a small ratchet

When you get the seat out, don’t switch the ignition on while the seat it out. If you do you will illuminate the air bag light which will need resetting.

I was expecting you to say that and just wanting our friend to know it's not going to be a walk in the park :( Mario and I have probably taken out more than our fair share of seats between us.
