Just took the steering reservoir off to find a leak. Removed the torx screw from the filter and did my best to clean it out. The screw is an absolute hoot to put back in btw. But how do they get the filter in there in the first place?Because you can't remove it from the reservoir. Do they fit during manufacture?

Yes my Roadster is my Z3 M-Coupe's stablemate - two coupes!
What I wouldn't give to keep the Smart for ultimate thrills and the Z3 for moderately high thrills with touring. Loved my Roadster. I wrote an essay on here instilling the virtues of that cracking little car. Gutted to see it go to a bloke who seemed half interested in it and then seeing it pop up in a dealer in Luton. Ah well.
