Shocked by the consequence of this Guy's use of the torch facility on his Mobile Phone!!!! View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S69oVe4L-nU ........and to think most people are worried about radiation!!! Mike & Sandy
Yes, David. he obviously didn't read the instructions!!!! Wonder how many others are completely ignorant that this could happen & need warning of this phenomena!!!! M & S
Well that's what happens in countries that don't operate to any sort of H&S legislation, they don't take into account the risks, mand that the top of the tank would be full of vapour, in the uk, you would not be allowed a device like a mobile during that operation. I spent years in India tying to get the work force to obey the regs, but they see it as joke and just laugh and carry on regardless. the value on the life of a worker is nothing, and there 100's more waiting to take their place, shame.....
We filled our car on Thursday to take it back to the airport as it was faulty. As I filled the car Shirl was inside waiting to pay, at the other side of the pumps was a beaver tail recovery truck, left running while he filled it and went into the shop(probably to keep the a/c running) and he came out of the shop chatting on his phone via his head set!
That's asking for trouble, Tony. The annoying part is they put other people's lives in danger!!! M & S
I can only agree, but until something bad happens and it is too late, nothing will change. Then as is the American way it will be necessary to find out who was at fault so they know who to sue.
True T-, even if someone dies there's a lawyer handing out their cards at the funeral. Vultures circling in the name of justice served!! The American way to riches, law suit. But there are always the innocent that pay the price for someone's disregard of the value of a life. JIM
Modern mobiles do not spark causing fires. The biggest danger and cause of these types of fires is static elictricity. Never get back into a vehicle and get back out while fuel vapours are there. If i had to bet I would put my money on static causing this fire, not the actual call itself. I could be wrong of course, he could be using an old phone????? This was also tested extensively with the US mythbusters team and think about it, no mobile phone manufacturer would want to be responsible for deaths as a result of sparks from their phone product.
He wasn't making a call, Cooper, he was using the Phone as a Torch, in order to see what he was doing!!!! The film doesn't say whether he was badly hurt or not! M & S
Hmmm. Even stranger then cause the torch is just a LED. They are intrinsically safe aren't they in most applications? I used to work for a shipping company which transported live cattle. We had to have intrinsically safe floro and other lighting but it was never an issue with any phones whatsoever. This was also compliant with AMSA regulations.
