Hi,

My horn isn't working in my Z3. I had the airbag out to change part of the steering wheel trim, and couldn't see much in there.
I've checked the fuse, and when I press it I can hear the horn relay click.
Is it possible that both horns have failed over time, or is it more likeley to be something like a bad ground?

Cheers,
Warren.

Both of mine failed, both rotten. Of course on yours it could be something else.

If you can hear the relay click then I would look at the actual horns, check the connections are clean and good. Try spraying some WD40 or a lubricant spray inside the horns and see if they start working.

I think it may be the horns, there £23 a pair from euro car parts at the moment (supposedly down from £90) So I'll order a set.
Looks like it will be a fun Job, what's the easiest way to get to them, removing the arch liners or things from above them?

Before you do anything, get someone to press the horn push and hold it then gently tap both horns with a small hammer and see if they attempt to work.

Tony.
