I believe the DVLA would take "ownership" unless it is retained by the original owner.
Correct, I just transferred my plate onto my Zed, there was already a private plate on it (not of any value) DVLA informed me they would retain the existing number and it would become non transferable there after.

Acquired the Z3 1.9 just two weeks ago. Only had 5 weeks MOT left to run.

Put it through today a few weeks early, just in case.

Sailed through, no Advisory's. Most excellent !

Happy now to spend a few bob and upgrade a few bits. Happy days.

Good news for sure! You're always a bit apprehensive when taking a new to you vehicle for that first safety or MOT in your case and sigh with relief when the stamp of approval goes onto the paperwork! Congrats, JIM

Got a call this morning from the registration people.

Yesterday i offered £ 1000 for N444LLY. This was rejected.

They asked me if i would up my offer as they had wanted £ 6995.-- for it, said "NO". Lets see if they call back.
