Hi peoples....

Well, I took Bella out for her first trip of the year last week,it turned out to be one of the wettest days .:banghead:
The hood on the car has never leaked before, but god did she leak at all the rubber seal joints, the worst being at the join between the hood and windshield ( got to re glue the plugs anyway) the rubber has seemed to have shrunk over winter by approx 2-3mm so now, so there is a gap between each rubber joint.

Is this the area people do the inner tube mod with to pack these gaps out? I may well be visiting @BMBabe soon:whistle:
I have some Gummi Pflege to apply to try to restore the rubber somewhat to try to assist.

Second question, I want to replace my split rear screen, but cant stretch to an OEM one, Is anyone able to advice/Link me to a good company that sells aftermarket zip in windows.

Found these on ebay, but mixed reviews on the ADM ones.

I finally have a couple of days off so Bella is going to get a little love over the weekend.

Enjoy the sun all....,.

Yeah on the end of the rubbers is where you can add abit more rubber with eaither a cycle punture kit or an old inner tube.
All the seals will move in their mounts too you could slide them forward and get the front seal then add between the rear of the front rubber and the end of the other if it drips at that joint:thumbsup:

Thank you for the reply.
I didnt think about sliding the rubbers along, I was just going to try and stick packers at each joint.
Thank you for your advice, I will try that first.

Hi ya get Bella over and we will get it fixed for you mate

You can tighten the clamps as well to get the seals sitting better. The little hooks that clamp the roof down have an allen bolt in them which you can undo and then turn the hook to pull the roof closer to the seals at the front.
