I just read a comment from Mike @hard top saying his boiler has died (thought he was divorced?) anyway, we had a small catastrophe the other day when I got home from work.
I'd parked my car in the garage and was getting stuff out the boot when I heard Shirl at full volume in a panic, when I went in there was water spreading quite quickly across the kitchen floor from under the fridge/freezer and being a big one it took some moving to try and find the isolator. Eventually found it in the cupboard next to the fridge. A fairly big mop up after tea but thankfully we managed to keep it in the kitchen. Just imagine if that had happened on the day we left for Florida for 3 weeks, so I guess we were lucky after all. The fault turns out to be the filter blew apart. I think we'll be turning off the water before we go away from now on.
5 weeks ago the dishwasher gave up the ghost too, it's covered by an insurance but after 2 visits it still doesn't work and they're coming back a week tomorrow so as it's covered by (if we can't repair it well replace it) comprehensive cover, if it don't work then, it's 3 strikes and you're out. We want a new one NOW.:(:(

Just one more breakdown and a plague of locusts to go then mate. Every time we come home from being away I always have a sigh of relief when the house comes in to view.

Burning some nice lamb chops would only have compounded our moods mate. Bloody good they were too.

Not good when your white goods go wrong :p
Hopefully it will get sorted ;)
I can remember years ago ....... :)
I was cleaning my freezer out and I started to hear a slight hissing sound :)
And yes I'd broken my fridge/freezer of about 10 months old :(
But I had the lovely insurance man round and he said I'd gone through one of the pipes slightly :(
I thought o no ........ :(
But then he said if you don't say anything I'll report back it faulty :)
So I got a new fridge/ freezer and £££££ back for all the food :)
How lucky was I :)
