We have a new member in the ranks. @Holliez4 She’s bought herself a stunning Z4 Roadie with the M54B25 lump, car has plenty of goodies. Having been previously owned by an Z4 enthusiast you get a good impression it’s been relatively well looked after. For its age and spec it’s a steal.
First up are the day of sale photos.
Within days hollie didn’t mess about buying lots of new bits. First up were the brakes. Along with a service and some new sensors.
Starting with the service and new oil level sensor
old oil level sensor
Hollie getting stuck in, being mentored by the one n only @GazHyde
back brakes pulled apart, we also had some new springs to add.
looking much better. Brembo discs & pads all round
This weekend Hollie wanted to take her Zed to the next level, she’s surrounded by noisy zeds so it was only right we gave it a full stainless exhaust system. While under there we removed the prop and replaced the handbrake mech. The Z4 handbrake has a design flaw where if you don’t pull the button in it wears down the teeth on the mechanism, see here.
Working mechanism we saved from the last Z4 we broke.
nice under shot of everything removed.
then the fun part refitting all the shinny new stainless bits.
These exhausts are a bargain for £340! Such good workmanship.
