Hi David, oh brill that you're local Thank you SO much. Yes, this seems such a great, supportive site. I'm about to post another thread in connection with a clutch problem. You may be able to help/advise. I've mentioned on here that, so far, i've been using a garage up near Abingdon which is where I bought the car from and also where mum lives. So far, I haven't used a garage down here, however, I popped in to Denton Motors (small local garage) in Worthing (near me) yesterday and asked them about a noise that comes on whenever I press the clutch to change gear. The guy there said it's the bearing on the clutch that is going. Today he rang me and quoted for either a standard clutch replacement (£400 inc. labour) or a clutch replacement with Dual Mass Flywheel (that's what it sounded like! - £700 inc. labour)- he's not sure until he looks at it which it will be. Does this make sense to you? Do you happen to know which it would be? Thank you SO much.
