Hi @Phil.i.p, :welcome: to the forum from me too in Staffordshire. Good looking Zed, you can't go wrong with blue, but I'm biased.;)

A big thanks for all the welcomes! This is obviously the place to be. Wish I'd known when I had my last zed.
Yes the body work looks really good. Just the hood that's suffered a bit. Must have been used only with the hood down. Which would explain the good body I guess as its maybe not been out in the rain.... ?

I'll be happy when I've had all the wheels off, checked everything etc but that straight six is just so smooth.

Look forward to meeting you all.

Just need to work out where the dog is going to fit!

Btw if anyone knows of a reasonably priced wind deflector.... Should have taken it off the last one if I'd known they fetched that much!

Regards

Phil
If your car has roll hops Phil try a pm to @GazHyde, he and @Lee are having some clear Perspex ones made.

Tony.

Hello and :welcome: Phil. Nice choice of colour, but I am biased. If you are changing your thermostat I would do the water pump as well unless you know that it has been changed. The original plastic impellor type are prone to failure and should ideally be changed prior to 80,000 miles. 'Meyle' are a good aftermarket parts manufacturer, they do a metal impellor version at a reasonable price that is widely available on EBay. I think they do thermostats as well, but as yet I haven't found any of the metal bodied type.

It's a good thing to have your dog with you in the car. You can ask @M666BMG just how much his dogs love to ride in the car. I love to have a dog or 2 in the other cars but this Z is only big enough for one of them, otherwise they take over:
