Hi people

I am the owner of a moderately modified 1997 Z3 Roadster 2.8l with 124,000 kms on the clock. I am the second owner since new and have been keeping the car alive and well with updates for the last 13 years.
Still love the car but like anything mechanical of this age she needs ongoing care.

My current problem is a blocked drivers side roof drain hole resulting in water flowing into my boot compartment. This is what led me to the site, seeking then opinions of like-minded enthusiasts.

Take care all

Ray

Hi Ray

Welcome from New Zealand.

This is a great forum for sorting out problems. Lots of very knowledgeable people here.

For your blocked drain, try using a length of weed wacker plastic thread to push through the top hole and clear the drain.

Regards

Murray

Hey Murray

Thanks for that. I did locate where the drain is supposedly located but never actually saw it. Tried the weed whacker plastic idea and happily the water is now flowing off the roof to the ground and not into the boot.
Just need some Aussie sunshine now to dry the baby out.

Cheers to all who offered suggestions.

Happy driving.

Ray
