Hi Purchased a 2000 Z3 3l with 34,000 km on the clock sight unseen through the internet. Completed the 600km delivery drive yesterday and had an absolute blast. The Rimutaka hill road was an absolute joy. The Canterbury straights were boring after a clear road with lots of corners from Blenhiem to Kaikoura.

The Z3 is truly an amazing car

I just joined a couple of weeks ago. I bought my Zed with exact 34.000 as well 2 years ago. Looks like your color is Siena Red, is it? If so, it is only the second Zed I have seen in this color.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Yes the car is siena red and a nice tan interior. She clicked over 37,000 km yesterday. I'll start taking some photos on our adventures and post them for you.

Did a search on her VIN and discovered that she is the 6th car in the number series and one of five development cars for the CN52 model. not really sure what being a development car means? Any ideas?

Hi Murray, when they face lift or modify cars they do a number of runs / trials of the car, the latter ones are sold, the earlier ones are tested for crash, corrosion, and other extreme, the latter ones more often than not start life as company cars for managers or STA Engineers so that they can gather feed back, then at the end of the test period are sold on.

The roads around the Magaweka seemed perfect for the Z3 as were many roads in NZ.
