Hi, the names Graham and amongst our small family of cars we have a 2.8 Z3 roadster in Boston green with the beige leather interior. I've been looking for a picture but can't find any at the moment.

We,ve had it for a couple of years now and it's generally been very good with only a couple of niggles. Both seats moved on there own so that was sorted with new seat runner inserts.

We had to have a new hood when we first got it as the old one was well past its sell by date. The car came with a hard top too but the rain gets in more with it on that when the soft tops on.

Anyway, just thought I would say hi. :)

Welcome to the forum Graham from the other side of the pond. Got a '96 1.9l with Boston Green and a beige interior also. Just put a new top on myself. The top was originally black and I installed a tan one. Can't wait to see some pics. Frankie

Welcome from me too.

The car came with a hard top too but the rain gets in more with it on that when the soft tops on.
You probably have the A-Pillar leak if you also have problems with the soft top.
Also check if your hardtop is fastened properly, after a while driving with it on, you will need to re-tighten the front slightly.

:welcome: Graham. Another gentleman of impeccable taste, judgement and obvious breeding has chosen to grace us with his company. A 2.8 with beige interior, surely the pinnacle of Z3 excellence. A toast to you and your car sir.

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome. It looks to be a really friendly place to be.

For those asking, I'm in Coventry.

For oldcarman, the hardtop may be an expensive item to get to Canada :)

For hardtop, you are very perceptive sir, it does seem to be a leak on the A pillar. It seems to be on both sides but worse on the passenger side. As its a known issue, is there an easy fix?

Why? What on earth have you said or done? Perhaps I can help. I'm an expert in these matters. Bonzo.
