Welcome from me in Cardiff.

The trailing arm bushes usually dont cause too much of an issue on the Z3 (@Lee please correct me if I'm wrong) issues with the rear, if not shocks and springs is more likely to be rear beam bushes.well picked up my second Z3 in the last 4 years after a swift daliance with a MX-5
bought from an existing forum member -- already ordered a few essentials including some original Sport springs as after a week on the HR Lowered springs it is such a pain having too slow down for the sleeping policeman in The local supermarket
also managed to get it up on a ramp at the local garage to look at the rear End refresh that I would like to do over the coming winter - might look for some trailing arms to refurb and just swap in
Happy Travels

Yes I believe that to be the case, but Mr scalex did such a thorough job on the front end making it rust free and rust proof that I would like to do the same on the rear and I will probably have better success refurbishing parts individually than trying to do the whole thing in one .goThe trailing arm bushes usually dont cause too much of an issue on the Z3 (@Lee please correct me if I'm wrong) issues with the rear, if not shocks and springs is more likely to be rear beam bushes.
Unfortunately @Nodzed is right, if you have any issues with the rear it will be the main beam bushes, and to do them everything has to come out although I have heard of a tool that can do them by lowering the whole beam in situe.Yes I believe that to be the case, but Mr scalex did such a thorough job on the front end making it rust free and rust proof that I would like to do the same on the rear and I will probably have better success refurbishing parts individually than trying to do the whole thing in one .go

The car came from me and everything of consequence and/or on your list has already been done. It handles like it’s on rails.Unfortunately @Nodzed is right, if you have any issues with the rear it will be the main beam bushes, and to do them everything has to come out although I have heard of a tool that can do them by lowering the whole beam in situe.
Go with shocks n springs, drop links and roll bar bushes, start with the easy things. See how she drives after.
I've just bought a pair of trailing arms and axle beam to do a swap out refurb on the next car in the workshop. I'm getting all blasted/coated in Swindon for a reasonable sum.Yes indeed @mrscalex it was more the blasting and coating the arms I was wanting to do as they don't look as nice as the front end
I have already ordered sport springs should be here this week .Couldn't cope with the lowered ones
And my local garage with proper mechanics not technicians are ready to fit
Regards .Stephen
Out of curiosity did you replace all those components with new or are they used parts ?The car came from me and everything of consequence and/or on your list has already been done. It handles like it’s on rails.
The only material exception was the rear beam & diff bushes and I think that’s all @bashfulcider is really getting at here. Just a routine change to complete the refresh.
Plus blasting/coating the beam and arms. Which would make it look nice underneath as well.
It has -30mm H&R springs and like any lowered car it doesn’t like speed bumps. It was this car that put me off lowering and why I want to stick with -15mm Sport springs in future.
