Would you still recommend moving the roof motor even if your car is garaged though?
I don't think there would be any need iif its garaged and the drain holes have been cleaned.

I thought that too Bill, mine only had 16,600 on it when I got it and had always been garaged, I garage it and it only stands out at work. I've checked the drain holes and they're clear.

Tony.

Currently have a 2007 Z4 2.5si E85. Just upgraded stereo and speakers, front and rear strut braces, stainless exhaust, clear third brake like and deep dish alloys. Looking for rear cubby speakers grills in black if anyone has any for sale. In the process of fitting an induction kit as K and N etc don't make one for mine due to the maf sensor being mounted in in the airbox lid. Still looking to add air suspension and maybe a spoiler as well.
Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey............................Frankie

Didn't have anything better to do this morning so thought I would look through the papers I had when I bought the car. Found in there a
receipt from 2010 by owner before me that he paid to have the roof removed to clear the drain holes, and had all the hydraulics and all
associated parts renewed back then ! So I assume that would have included the motor? :)

Nice, it may be worth checking the rubber drains inside the rear wing if you get chance. Mine were full of crap. Fairly easy to do, take off the rear wheel and remove the arch cover towards the front of the car and you should be able to see it. There's a video on YouTube that I watched before I did mine. Nice easy job.

I did that a week ago, used an old wire coat hanger straightened out with little hook one end to push up, but no resistance and nothing came down so i'm assuming no issue!
