Why are these seats so heavy....
Well I didn't find much under the seat, a little foil lined square packet with Trojan written on it. some sort of sauce I suspect.. an anti skid plug that maybe was once joined to a mat of some sort. and a thing that looked like what a cat might cough up.. No amulets or good juju sorry to say..Anyway, job went flawlessly this time. My wife was a bit concerned that I was not going to put the seat back in, and she would have to sit on the floor, of course I would do the gentlemanly thing and at least make sure the seat-belt still worked...That'll be one of those rhetorical questions, I guess.
Yes. There's lots of talk on the forum about the bushes and how to replace them. I can't remember who but somebody sells them too.Why did you remove them? Mine move forward when I brake sharply, about an inch or so, then back again on acceleration... I'm assuming it's some kind of bush that has worn?
That will be @AcemanI can't remember who but somebody sells them too.
Have a go at changing the bushes without removing the seats. If yours really move as much as you say I'm surprised hasn't failed the MOT for seat insecurity. Why did you remove them? Mine move forward when I brake sharply, about an inch or so, then back again on acceleration... I'm assuming it's some kind of bush that has worn?
Yes the fellas jumped in there, and yes that why, a fairly straight forward job , or at least it was for the second seat for me anyway..You might be surprised to realize its a 1/4 inch of slop tops, feels like more but unless you have some other issue, it aint.. You will need torxs keys to fix it, 25 and 50 from memory. A rudimentary socket set, new bushes that should really be called shims..and the ability to hide the ignition key from yourself...And be aware that there is a small pyro on the socket end of the seat belt, a pre-tensioner if you like. .. It's not like, if you fart you will set it off, but it's good to know it is there...Why did you remove them? Mine move forward when I brake sharply, about an inch or so, then back again on acceleration... I'm assuming it's some kind of bush that has worn?
Just be careful there's not thousands of little soldiers hiding in it.a little foil lined square packet with Trojan written on it.
No I,m pretty sure it had BBQ sauce in it at some stage, because it said "with ribs", or some such...Just be careful there's not thousands of little soldiers hiding in it.
