Hi I am a BMW newbie. Just bought a 2017 Z4 M Roadster, is that sufficient? Having trouble working out how to load an external music stick, dealer useless ! Centre console accepts I phone charging cable but not stick. Glove box connector accepts stick but then nothing appears on screen, hence still no good. Do both allow stick use and is glove box some sort of hard drive ? I am not techie so if anyone can help please keep it simple.

Hi all, anyone had same problem and know of a solution?

Don’t know if it’s the same as my 2011 E89 but if I plug a stick into the USB slot it plays. if I plug a Bluetooth unit into the USB I can play via bluetooth from my phone through Aux.

Hi all, thanks for your welcomes. Good news, problem solved ! How ? by my better half. Tried various stick sizes and card adaptors. Eventually bought a 32 gb stick and it works ! Size does matter ! Won’t bore you with all the details but if anyone else wants to know let me know. Happy cruising everyone

Maybe. I’ve used a 2gb stick in mine without issue.

Yes, I think too large a memory caused the problem.
