Hoping someone can help me out with my 2.8 engine fault...

I sporadically keep getting the following fault code appearing, Eml light comes on and the cars in a limp mode and rather hard to drive. It's happened twice before and Its happened just now.

I have reset the code and tried monitoring my driving to see when it comes on as previously i haven't found anything. Todays event pushed me into looking for the fault..this rusty perished throttle cable looks like the culprit...do you guys agree?

Any help would be appreciated.

Your Zed has a throttle cable but may also have a motorised valve system. Some Zeds are not fully drive-by-wire and there is still a throttle cable but there is also a motor on the throttle body that can override the cable input in either direction. The motor is connected to the throttle shaft, and the cable-side operates it using some levers and springs and other such jiggery pockery, but is not directly connected. I'm guessing here but it could be a throttle body issue.
Someone with better knowledge of this will pop on soon
