I need sills for my Zed, 1.9 M44 pre facelift, will the sills off a 2002 widebody fit? got a chance of purchasing some in good condition although wrong colour. if they dont fit then what do i need to make them fit , is it a cas e of replacing rear wings as well or is it rear wings and boot ? the seller has wings as well so could purchase them as i do need a drivers side anyway
any advice and help appreciated as always

I'm fairly sure @zedonist is the right man to tell you what you need to know.

Tony.

Face lift will not fit the M44.

You either need to buy M44 specific, or do a preface lift wide body conversion, which you will need:
Side sills
Rear wings
Rear inner wings
Rear bumper
Petrol filler neck
Bumper brackets

Hi
thanks for all the replies, certainly not going down the route of changing all those bits @zedonist
does any body have any pics to show the difference on the wings or sills? would a 2002 plate 2.2ltr definately be facelift?
as the parts are off the car its difficult to tell

You all do know there is someone (me) fabricating new sills in fiberglass.
As mine are made as an exact copy from a 2.8 (=widebody), they will fit widebody pre-facelift and all facelifted models.
Fiberglass=no more rust.
Price 225€ excl vat = +/- 160£ (as the GBP is going strong for the moment)
They can be put on the car as is (in gelcoat), but i would advice getting them painted to get an exact colour match.

Regards, Koen

hi @Stormy_be £160 per pair?
how much is carriage to uk?
also just confirm that these fit pre facelift models as i am dubious , i checked the part numbers from both and they do differ which generally means they are not cross compatible
cheers

Hello,

It is 225€ a pair (+vat) for the doorsills.
I have created the mould from my original 2.8 pre-facelift doorsills.
So I am sure they will fit widebody pre-facelift.
As said by others, non-widebody sills my be different.

Regards, Koen

Hi Koen, if I'd been thinking, which I try to avoid, you could have had the sills off my TOO car while it was having the work done and posted them back before the boat ride. Surely there are more members with narrow bodied cars going to need them. I'll check with Sean to see how long the car will still be in the UK. Maybe we can still work something out, even ship car without sills and you post them to Halifax may work.. JIM

I am looking into getting sill myself.
But for the moment still working on other stuff:
A set of carbon fiber doors
Headlight replacement, possible with direct air intake
A mould from the big mouth front bumper i have
A fiberglass or carbon racing dashboard
...almost forgotten: wheelarch wideners, or how is it called in good English.
And a hardtop or targa-top

Plenty of stuff to do.......but i am sure that narrow body sills will be added to that list shortly.
