Hi All

I am going to replace the dreaded roof motor and shall also relocate into the boot I have studied posts on this and they have been great Thankyou all

One question what is the Bowden cable ? I just don’t get that bit

I never heard the term until moving to the Uk. Its a sleeved push pull cable like a throttle cable.

If you have pulled the Bowden the pressure release valve will probably be stuck in. Take the cover off the valve, lubricate and push the valve in and out a number of times. Make sure when mounting the motor that the Bowden has zero tension, the slightest bit of tension will push the valve in and therefore no hydraulic pressure.
