Help please

so I thought I would get the Z4m coupe out this weekend after her sleep. But, unfortunately on turning the key all I got was a click, no lights dimming and battery is good. I presume the starter motor?? Any ideas? I understand it's a bit of a pain job as you need to remove the air intake manifold. Any advice appreciated

Before doing that try putting the car in gear and rock the car in case the starter has stuck in mesh.

How good is the battery? Don’t rule it out if the car has been off the road for some time.

thxs for the info guys.
I towed the car with my truck and she started by bump straight away. Would this have the same effect as rocking?? Car is stored in a dry garage, and terminals look clean. Also gave starter a good spray of WD40

If your terminals were dirty, the lights would have dimmed or gone out so they must be clean. Your right. What is the age of your battery?....Frankie

If it happens again connect a jump lead between the earth point under the bonnet and the engine block. This will eliminate engine earth fault.
