I've just completed an overhaul on the rear axle & suspension on my 97 2.8, Having replaced the brake pipes, put it all back together, and bled the brakes, I took it up and down a farm track for a quick test. Apart from slightly spongy brakes (no doubt a second bleeding is called for), all seemed fine except that the ABS and ASC lights are permanently on (yes, I did try the ASC switch). No doubt there's a bad connection, or I have damaged a lead or sensor somehere. Unfortunately both these new-fangled devices post-date my mechanic's training, when the workshop manuals were in latin, so can anyone save me hours of research and blind alleys by suggesting possible causes and how to systematically eliminate them? Thanks in advance.
