Prob with 1999 2.8 cutting out on tick over local garage changed cam sensor and exhaust sensor but still cuts out any ideas chaps ?

Have you checked for a split in the inlet pipe before the tb and after the maf? its likely to be underneath and unmetered air is getting in.

Mine did exactly the same last month and it was a split in the big rubber that connects to the rear of the airbox. £13.00 of eBay for a new one and running lovely again.

@Grumpy has just had the same fault on his 2.8 there is a small pipe and its likely to be split with age. Worth checking

Same fault on mine last year although it didn't stall. Both of the pipes were split, worth changing for what they cost.
