My old z3 is still alive and kicking having covered less than 500 miles per year for the last 3 years. 2.0 currently on c. 53k miles. Guess it's been squirreled away

It was such a great car!

I sold it to a guy who hailed from Leeds. Shortly after he said it might be back up for sale as he was considering an M, which is why I sadly let it go. Bought in May 13 sold January 14. For a lowly sum as I had put a deposit on the Coupe. I didn't even fit the HT I had bought!

So if that chap sold it on, it could now be anywhere I guess.

Yes it was in excellent condition, once it had been given a polish. Poverty spec but such a joy to drive. I do remember the vibration under braking, I never got round to resolving it.

When I got the coupe I missed the top down driving, hence buying the smurf. Really I should have just stored it

It's a real 'bummer' when you sell something and then regret it. Sold my 2.8 with only 35 K on it. What a plonker ! They say,'You live and learn', but sadly when you're an idiot like me......!
Good luck with the search, but what if you find it ? Could be great, but not for sale or could be a wreck.

On the last MOT there was a test centre number. You can use the number to find out where the garage that carried out the MOT resides.
Thanks @raymond
I reckon he would sell Smurf to have his old Zed back
This is why I can't bare to sell Panther, even tho I can't afford both I know I would regret selling

This is why i have covered the Z3 up, hoping Jacquie will forget i still have it, unfortunately it's on the drive in front of the living room window so not much hope.

Smurf is so much nicer!

i still regret selling my old Mk1 golf, however at the time financial sense took hold and i got rid. i needed to at the time and wish i'd kept in touch with the new owner to buy it back.

However in your case i would never even drive the standard car if i had a Z3M in the garage! Sell the black one and have more time and money to hoon in the ///M

I certainly see what you are saying but if i am being honest I prefer the sound of 2.2 over the 3.2
Having an M is soooo overrated and a BIG money pit

Solution: Fake her out. People can buy a picture of something and place it in their window to look like a different scene than is actually outside: example:

Window Murals

You need one taken of the front driveway WITHOUT the car and have the picture placed in the window.................Frankie

Get a proper exhaust and you won’t say that!
I’ve had a 2.2 and it sounds nice but nothing as nice as a quality aftermarket exhaust does.

The money needed to run an M is what made me stay away (back in the good old days an M wasn’t much more than my sorted 2.8!). That and the fact I was certain 300bhp in that would kill me!

I’d still have an M if I had money to burn!
