HELP.....Door Card Removal With Side Airbags

Help!
has anyone removed their door cards with side airbags? (successfully )

I need to disconnect the mirrors wires on my M as part of the strip down for respray.
Does disconnecting the battery isolate the side airbags?

Niall, theirs a good video on you tube under "replacing window clips" covers taking the door cards off and what to do with the air bag, not very good at copying links but should be able to find it using the window clip search.

Usually disconnecting the battery will isolate the airbags Niall. Sometimes they recommend a wait time but not always.

When I took my M mirrors off I disconnected the battery for 20mins before disconnecting them.
