Hi Everyone

Just sorted one problem with your help (Camshaft position sensor), cheers guys.
Seems my little Z3 has set me another challenge.

Yesterday I noticed that the Airbag warning light stays on all the time.
I’ve scanned it with my basic OBD 2 fault code scanner but its not showing any fault codes.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Dave

Check ( with mirror and light) that the underseat connections are ok and haven’t separated. The ones that connect to the seat belt anchors.

You'll need a better scanner to read the airbag codes. There are various BMW air bag scanners on E-Bay.

Once you get the error codes, you'll know were to look.

I have tried scanning using a streetwise scanner and under bonnet OBD connector as show in the pic but it is showing 'NO ERROR CODES'?
Is my scanner suitable or do I need the B 800 MEMO SCANNER as stated above?

What’s your location, someone close may have one you could use to clear the light.

Update.

Bought a B 800 scanner off fleabay, once scanned it showed 2 fault codes:
38 (Control unit fault, swinging voltage test)
11 (Supply voltage)

Noted this info down, cleared the codes, re-scanned and the light stayed off and remains off after covering more than 100 miles.

No idea why it blipped in the first place but all seems good again now.

"No idea why it blipped in the first place but all seems good again now."
Usually for reaching for something behind the seat and momentarily interrupting the contact.
