Hello fellow zed lovers, my name's Simon and @Forsh left a card on my windscreen today whilst I was shopping in Culcheth (top down!), encouraging me to join your forum. Well here I am!

I bought a 1999 1.9L Z3 in October last year with 85K on the clock after eight owners. I've since spent over £1K on her and loving every minute now she's running well again. I've got some plans for more work over the winter including a slightly rortier exhaust (any recommendations?) and getting rid of a few patches of rust - the usual places, wing mirrors and stone chips.

I look forward to visiting this forum regularly and to reading your news and views.

All the best, Simon

Welcome @Simon59! I was very pleased to see you had the top down, just what I like to see ;)
I've only placed two cards so far so I'm very pleased to have recruited a new member!
If you're local and need any help/advice, give me a shout. Mind you, you've had yours longer than me! :D

See you around,
Forsh.

Thanks Forsh! I live in Wilmslow and work in Warrington and use my Z3 whenever its sunny rather than my boring 1 series company car. Today was perfect and I'll soon be making my motorway-less way home via the Warburton toll bridge, Dunham Massey and Altrincham, top down of course!

@Simon59 That does sound like a great sunny evening drive home!
Good luck with the work you've planned for the winter. As you settle into the forum, you could think about creating a progress thread as a way of evidencing all your modifications and work into one place. But remember - if there're no pictures, it didn't happen! ;)
