My Name is Blake Weibert and I live in Middle Tennessee, where BMW capable repair shops are few and far between, or just outrageously expensive in comparison to some great shops like Alpine Automotive in Memphis, where I previously lived and had a 1988 735i, that I let go in 2007. Having taken a break from BMW's for 7 yrs, I got the itch, and I scratched it, so I bought a 1997 Z3 roadster with 65k miles and a little work to do on it, mostly cosmetic. I want to share what I do know about early 735i experience and want to gain on 1997 Z3 knowledge. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Blake!

When you say you have a problem with the hot/cold selector do you mean you turn the dial and nothing happens, or something else? If I recall there is also a unit under the windscreen scuttle which can be an issue as well.

Cheers, Gary
