Hi All,
Thanks for letting me join. Great forum with lots of useful stuff!
My introduction to Z3 ownership is quite a story, and the little car is here to stay! I've always admired Z3s and was lucky enough to win my Zed last weekend for £10! You can see a little more here

I know....... how lucky I am! I mean, I'm happy for £10, but I'd be equally happy if I'd paid the £1k that Geoffbuyscars paid.
I had a great drive back from collecting it down in Malvern the whole 247 miles to Newcastle with the very noisy (Cobra) exhaust! So far in a week, I've done 550 miles without any issues. A previous write off there seems to be no signs of any damage apart from a small dent on the boot lid; all panels seem to be original and no signs of any issues underneath. Recent Battery, Full Exhaust and Radiator. Tyres, gearbox, engine and brakes etc all seem very good with no leaks, rattles or pulls.
Some things I've done to the car in the last week:
Re-attached Rearview Mirror -3rd set of adhesives did the trick!
Wash & Polish Externally. Cleared internal gutters/drain holes.
Cleaned leather, carpets and dashboard.
Took Spare wheel off, cleaned and put back in.
Waxed the softop with Renovo.
Re-adjusted headlight and polished off the cloudy haze.
Bought a BMW screwdriver to complete the toolbox!
Some things on the list:
Full service, Oil, filters and spark plugs.
Sort the moving seats!
New aerial antenna, I knocked the existing one.
Door handle rubber seals
Waxoyl/ similar underneath.
Both sills in the spring.
There are no owners' manuals/ booklets with it, so will pick some up when they appear. (However, I'm sure I have an original brochure in the loft from my teenage days!)
Look forward to having a good browse through the forum and doing a couple of the jobs on the list!
Cheers,
Colin
