Hi,

Just a quick hello and introduction from Ireland. I bought a silver 1999 Z3 M44 1.9 a few months ago which I'm really enjoying. It's definitely a keeper! I used to drive E30's and E36's a few years ago so it all feels familiar. It's needed a couple of jobs doing to it which I've attended to like the usual fluids and filters. I've also replaced the thermostat and the rocker and spark plug gaskets. It runs really sweetly now.

I have a quick question regarding wheels. I like the look of the Style 18 wheels that some of the early Z3's were fitted with. Does anybody know if the staggered 7.5x17 and 8.5X17 wheels will fit an early 1.9 car? The offset is et41. I've tried using the search function but can't seem to get a definite answer to my query. Has anybody fitted the same wheels to their car?

Yeah. It's a VERY long term project :). I bought it in 2011 and have done bits and pieces to it over the years. It's in good condition for an Alfasud...It's now in long term storage until I build a suitable garage. It'll be back on the road at some point in the future.

Don't see many old ones now will be great when you finish it as it's very retro is that the original colour.

Hi Ed and welcome from me near Lincoln. I had a little experience of the Sud back in the late 70's as my boss also owned an Alfa dealership in Lincoln. Great little cars, I'll be watching with much interest mate. Good luck with it.

Tony.
