Welcome :)

Edit: And there is more to choosing a car based on its mechanical condition. There are options you might consider important such as [depending where you are and what's available]:
  1. engine size - 1.9 four cylinder, or the 6 cylinder models 2.0, 2.2, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0 and 3.2///M
  2. Color of interior and or exterior
  3. Year of manufacture can determine facelift models
  4. Roll hoops
  5. Sports heated seats
  6. lowered or standard suspension
  7. Auto to manual trans
  8. Number of keys supplied
  9. Hardtop
When I was looking for mine I wanted an auto, 2.8 or higher, 2001 or 2002 model, sports heated seats, roll hoops and the rest was optional. Ended up with a 2001 3.0 Oxford Green 2 exterior, beige interior with several factory options, favourite wheels and lowered suspension, all the keys, well maintained by BMW, and so forth.

Cheers.
