Hello All

Had my Space Grey Z4M roadster since 2009, so not new to Z ownership, but very new to forums.

I live near York so would be very interested in any Z related meets and events in Yorkshire.

Thanks all

John

Welcome! Pics please :D

There is a master events list in the Forthcoming Events section, but worth keeping an eye out for the ad hoc meets that happen at short notice.

Thanks Shelly, Antm72 and GazHyde.

Pictures from when I bought the car. I traded in a Z4 3.0 for it, which was the result of a trade in of a 330ci Clubsport. I will dig out some recent ones for you when I get a minute. The car had under 8,000 on the clock when I bought it and has just under 44,500 now.

Yes I like it, but I haven't seen another M in that colour so obviously not popular with everyone.

It has a reasonable number of options on it though as well as Isofix in the passenger seat and the airbag disable key switch and indicator which surprised me when I bought it.

My 3.0si has the isofix with stupidly large indicator on the centre console. Have plans to lose that when I get my aluminium console panels painted.

Centre console trim parts are easily available, particularly the brushed aluminium versions - which few seem to like. Most of these are from cars which don't have the isofix so only have the hole for the Sport button. Plan is to get a set, get them sanded down and painted and then hide the warning lamp under the console somewhere. I won't ever need to put a kiddie seat in mine as both my kids are over 16!

Ah I see that makes sense. Mine has the "carbon fibre" leather effect that tends to divide opinions. I like it but my 3.0 had the aluminium finish and I liked that too. The Isofix is still useful for me

I looooooove the carbon fibre leather, would love a set but chances of finding them would be next to impossible... I've temporarily wrapped my dash panels in 3M Dinoc to see if I prefer it darker - which I definitely do! Sadly it looks like the 3M wrap can't handle the temperatures the aluminium gets to by the vents and is rippling badly.

A before and after...

Yes I like the look of it too. Tends to get divided opinions as I say but again for me is something different about the car. I was very lucky to get it with all the spec it has, plus according to some sources its the only Space Grey one in the country, especially with the Grey roof. I am, however, always dubious about the specification breakdowns by car you sometimes see on the internet. The last M roadster one I saw listed 1 Alpine White and 1 Space Grey, 3 Individuals and then the rest of the usual colours. My 330ci Clubsport was in Velvet Blue, basically Purple and that divided opinions as well.
