Hello. Need a little help

I recently got myself Z3 1..9 M44 with a great little engine but with a few wiring problems, can somebody please identify the name of the part that connects to the air box with the wire. I do not know why it was cut and I just cannot find a name of it to replace it.Many thanks.

Thank you, yes that is the part inside but the outside part is confusing me.
