Hi everyone,
My name is Conrad and I own a 2001 Z3 3.0 with the sports package. I recently purchased this vehicle 3 months ago after my wife totaled my Miata. This vehicle is a blast and is exactly as I expected! I also own a 2000 528 sport with a full Dinan package and a 2013 750 I Msport. There are a few things that I need to repair on the Z and other modifications that I would like to do. I'm looking forward to the advice that I can get from the forum members that will help me to rebuild and improve my Z. I have a few blown speakers to replace, slipping seats, a check engine light that comes on every now and then and a finicky DSC system just to name a few items. Other than that, she's solid. It's a work in progress but I'm up for it!

@Aceman sells bushing kits to stop the seats from rocking - https://zroadster.org/pages/BMW-Z3-Z3M-Seat-bushes-for-Roadster-Coupe/.

Speakers are pretty much a straight swap if you get the right size, although you may want to consider upgrading as you go.

The engine light means you should be looking for a decent code reader, if you don't have one already. Good news is they are pretty cheap at the moment.

As for the DSC could be one of many things!
