Thanks for the welcome, i agree with all the points you have made. I have broadened my search to see what others are going just now. For me its the colour and the rarity of the Mora that attracts me to that model. I have looked into the car currently available on Auto Classics, the history is very good with that car. I believe i have managed to track the car to an owner here as the VIN is on the Mora register. So potentially that car is an option.
You are right, it was my car, I sold it late last year to Paul at Northampton Auto Classics. I’d buy the car back today, if I could fit it in. It’s a beauty, I bought it from a guy in the midlands, he’d owned it for 11 years and it was a weekend car, always garaged.

It had a very good service history and in my ownership I had an Inspection 2 and brake fluid at Darren Wood, a highly respected independent in Stockport. He couldn’t believe the condition, no corrosion even to the brake pipes. It needed nothing, just the service. I also had a new soft top fitted at nearly £800 from Soft Top Shop in Stockport, again highly rated.

Like you I wanted the Mora colour. It’s great to work on, and I gave it plenty of attention. I gave it a full 3 stage machine polish and also gave the interior a thorough clean. The leather is lovely. I also had a Z3 body expert take out a few minor dents.

It drove faultless and having driven a 2.2 and 2.8, it didn’t feel at all underpowered. More fun than my E92 M3, as you can actually work the engine and use the power. It sounded great!

If you are serious about a Mora this would be a great buy. It got so much attention when driving and neighbours and passers by would often stop to talk to me about it.

I miss the car so much, but I’ve had over 50 cars now, and I’m always looking for something different.

Good luck!
