Hello from North East England

Hi all, new to the Z3 only had mine since November. It's a silver 2.2 on a Y plate 68k miles on the clock.

Yes some of us have roadsters up here too! The sun does occasionally come out :rain( but I like driving with the top down in the dark anyway!

Like a couple of other newbies on here I tried to register on the zroadster.net forum but got no response ~x(

Luckily found this forum and registering here was a breeze! :-bd

Looking forward to some sunny miles this year

Thanks for the warm (and very prompt!) welcome. I haven't got many pics yet but here's what I have so far.

When I got it the driver's seatbelt was slow to retract. Got a replacement and swapped it out. Turns out the one that was in was the wrong part number (probably off a 3 series or something!) All sorted now, though I did have to remove 90% of the interior to get at it! The German's never use 1 or 2 screws when there's space for 27 do they? Took longer than I thought but worth doing as the labour charge ata a garage would have been high for such a simple job.

Hi and a big Zorg welcome from me too if you have a look around you'll see lots of colours of zeds so it will give you an idea what colour you want to finish yours off in

We're a friendly bunch on here and you'll get loads of help if you need it, just ask.

If you have more pictures of your seatbelt job it would be a good one for the Wiki (i.e. step by step ?) if not, you could always take it apart and do it again for us .

I will also extend a west country welcome silverzed and say that I fully endorse Snoops comment!

If you have more pictures of your seatbelt job it would be a good one for the Wiki (i.e. step by step ?) if not, you could always take it apart and do it again for us

When something is done and we can put it in the wiki it gives us a chance to do things with a little less fear. My next task is detango'd headlights thanks to I think it was sea surfer which is in the wiki. You will find it a great crowd and even in winter very active.

Was out in the Zed on Sunday on a run down to the picturesque Teesside Retail Park. Took a couple of snaps with my phone when we got home just before tucking her away for the night but it was dusk and light was fading a bit so apologies for the quality...
