I have a Montreal Blue 1998 2.8 Z3 which I brought over from the UK a few weeks ago to the south of France where I'm living as an ex-pat.

Hopefully this forum will be able to help me as I try to get a few bits and pieces sorted on the car and I'll try and impart my limited knowledge to anyone that wants to listen!

Hi Jon, welcome to the forum, glad you found us, whereabouts in the South of France are you. There are several peeps on here that love France, including us, who would love to take your place out there!

At least 4 members come to mind that are about to embark on an adventure on the other side of the Channel. Like Dave (@Grumpy) we are also heading down to the Vendeé after spending 3 days first in Brittany on 22nd June.

Hi Eddie, I was talking to the secretary at work today and she is originally from Farndon and now lives in Balderton. Her daughter has a red Z3 with a reg of M500NCC. The Newark Copper Cylinders Co. I think she said the stands for and they have several NCC reg. numbers.

Hi Tony, can't say that I have seen that number plate although I did see a red Zed at the local tip the other day (just before I bought mine). Had a quick chat with the driver to see if he has had any problems with his (a 1.9), he said that it runs like a dream and I should get one!

Looks like the golf has turned into a fourball, hope the weather is better than today.



Here's a thought.......before buying a particular car, you never see one on the road. When you get one, you see them everywhere!
