Just bought a 98 1.9, 57k on the clock.Will post some pics as soon as I can. Have a few questions to ask!

Looking for a few things to tidy up the interior first. Advice on these would be fantastic.

Steering Wheel - poor condition. Looked at Ebay for a nicer one, seem to be £120+

Gear Knob - as above - £40+

Gaiter for gear knob - as above Ebay/Amazon

Gaiter for handbrake - as above

Seat Belt retainer passenger side - Ebay have replacements and also a clip that hides the broken part.

The instrument dial lights up fine but you can't read the mileometer - bulbs?

The car came with one key and one large remote thing....the key only manually unlocks the car and the remote thing (sorry) has no battery.....

Also looking for an oil service to be done - I'm in Ayrshire - checked web and this guy looks to have some good recommendations but is he still open?

Think they are still there.
I'm about 25 mile away in Maybole.
Might have the 2 gaiters you need just going to have a look just now.
Milage display will be a bulb.
Seat various ways to repair depends what effort and finish your after.
The remote is for the alarm system.
Gear knob try @spurs fan in a coupe or @Synclare on here as they both break zeds and may be able to help.
Steering wheel 2 options buy a 2nd hand one or get it refurbed most on here have used royal steering wheels do a top job .

Just dug them out standard black ones still in good nick ( i only changed them to fit yellow stitching ones ) your welcome to them if they are better than what you got

My ones are in poor condition. Car in good condition but a few things like these, seats etc need sorted, the car is 18 years old after all (have to keep telling myself that!)
